Greg Larson is a painter and photographer. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in art, he journeyed west until it eventually became East and lived in Japan for fifteen years. He has always painted and continues to search for the perfect road.

About the DIA Project
Inspired by road trips in the American Southwest, this work blurs the distinction
between minimalism and representational imagery through a contemporary
interpretation of spirituality in relationship to the earth. Color, line, and spatial
concerns derived from western and non-western influences ranging from Georgia
O’Keefe to Japanese brushwork reference strong symbolic imagery and create a
mood and playful aesthetics freed from the constraints of rationalism. The use of
the road as metaphor in a vista that is quintessentially American and unique to the
world illustrates the importance and relevancy of landscape as a spiritual guide to
discovery.

33 IDEAS!, an exhibit of art, writing and ideas
March 15-June 15, 2010

Denver International Airport

DIA PostcardThis exhibit showcases visual and literary artists associated with Colorado Art Ranch as presenters, artists in residence, or Nomads at one or more Artposia. The artists were selected because they use their passion, skills, knowledge, and talent to ask questions and react to the world around them. The work, in turn, inspires us to ask questions and view the world from different perspectives.

33 IDEAS! is on display at the Ansbacher Hall: The Art of Colorado, on the walkway between the terminal and A Gates before the security screening. The hall is accessible for everyone’s enjoyment.
